Paul Cézanne’s A Turn in the Road at La Roche-Guyon is a Post-Impressionist piece of artwork that showcases his artistic genius. The oil on canvas painting was completed in 1885 and the Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA) now houses it in Northampton, MA, US.
Cézanne’s earlier works showed his Impressionist style; however, he later found his true self with the Fauvist style. A Turn in the Road at La Roche-Guyon is one of five pieces that Cézanne painted during his trip to dedicate one of the oldest buildings from the 12th century known as La Roche-Guyon.
