About The Breakfast

The Breakfast is an oil painting by Spanish artist Juan Gris of October 1915. This paintings belongs to the collections of the Musée National d’Art Moderne and features a table top and its support, against which are placed a coffee grinder, a coffee pot, and a fruit bowl. The texture of this artwork is difficult to overlook; it gives viewers a sense of the element of home.

Juan Gris was known for blending his cubist technique with bright colors and vivid textures. The Breakfast is one of his most celebrated works and has come to represent modern art in the context of Cubism on an international level.

The Bottle Of Banyuls is another iconic oil painting by Juan Gris that was created in 1914.
