“Lament of Christ,” created around 1520 by the artist Andrea del Sarto, is an exquisite oil painting on wood that embodies the High Renaissance art movement. Measuring 99 x 120 cm, this religious painting is currently housed in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria.
