“Local Color (Scenario)” is a collage created by Robert Rauschenberg in 2006. This artwork belongs to the Pop Art movement, is figurative in genre, and is part of the “Scenario, 2005-2006” series.
The artwork features a dynamic collection of photographic images assembled together to create a multifaceted urban landscape. On the left, there are four vertically stacked images of water flowing out through structures that resemble city drains, showing different stages of water movement. On the upper right, there are two images of lace-covered windows, and the lower right portion shows a closed door, adding a sense of mystery and depth.
