The artwork, titled “Lunette,” was created by James Turrell in 2002. As an installation piece, it is associated with the Light and Space movement as well as Environmental (Land) Art. “Lunette” is part of Turrell’s “Skyspaces” series.
The artwork comprises a minimalistic, enclosed space with an arched opening in the ceiling where light plays a central role.
