“The Domain of Arnheim” is a symbolic painting by Rene Magritte, created in 1962 in Belgium. It is rendered in gouache on paper and measures 35 x 27 cm. The artwork is a testament to Magritte’s affiliation with the Surrealism movement and it currently resides in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, located in Brussels.
The artwork exhibits a serene mountainous landscape dominated by rugged, snowy peaks that reach toward a sky featuring a crescent moon.
