About The Last Supper

Albrecht Durer, a master of the Northern Renaissance, is renowned for his significant contributions to the art world, particularly through his expertise in woodcut prints. Among his celebrated works is “The Last Supper,” which he completed multiple versions, this one completed circa 1511.  This artwork is part of the series “The Small Passion”. Durer also created a version of “the Last Supper” that were completed in 1523.

While Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” remains one of the most iconic mural paintings from the High Renaissance, housed in the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Durer’s rendition holds its own place in art history.
